Are Natural Healthcare Professionals Quacks?
The Truth Behind This Fabricated Label!
The truth is, it is nearly impossible to change a person’s premise when it is trenched deep within their psyche. This has been the case since mankind began his journey into the world of exploration and discovery.
Unfortunately, man’s quest for truth and advancement is sometimes overshadowed by his equally strong drive for dominance, which is of course powered by the ego. This means that there will always be strong controversy but this is not necessarily bad because controversy keeps the ego in check by demanding standards and regulations. However, it can also produce harm by masking potential truths; truths that may be of great benefit for many.
Why does this happen? Too often it is the result of the desire for money and power.
I have spent a lot of time on the skeptic health blogs (those that condemn holistic healthcare practices), and have had many heated conversations about natural health care, supplements, herbs, exercise, GMO’s and organic foods. Even (and sometimes especially) with my own close friends and family!
Nobody, including myself, wants to be wrong. However, as a result of my own past health issues, I quickly became aware of the importance of freedom that is associated with having an open mind.
I found out the hard way that the people who believe in absolute certainties are the most dangerous. This is because, within their own boundaries of so-called “truth”, they have become blinded to what may be obvious solutions.
On some of these skeptic health blogs, I have seen natural healthcare professionals attempt to persuade by staying within the skeptic’s criteria in an attempt to win the argument. However, despite playing by-the-rules of the skeptic’s “scientific” game, they were still quickly dismissed as quacks. This both upsets and amuses me.
It upsets me because it embodies the injustice and ignorance of the skeptics who apparently want to be correct in their position no matter what the cost. Many simply aren’t even willing to see the evidence showing the success of natural health care.
Which brings me to why this also amuses me!
Per the definition of a quack,
“One who talks pretentiously without sound knowledge of the subject discussed.”
So… would the real quack please stand up!
