Nutrients Counteract Disease!
Let’s review the importance of vitamins and other nutrients, such as minerals, trace minerals, amino acids, and enzymes, that protect the body against infection, degenerative diseases, metabolic-related diseases, immune function, aging, overall well-being, and mental health.
When the body is under chronic environmental and societal stress, and at the same time lacks optimal nutrients, the body will deviate from a healthy range of physiological and metabolic markers.
The body becomes out of balance and is then subjected to any disease or illness.
When this occurs, what does the medical profession do? They introduce drugs (more chemical stressors), not to cure the cause, but to ease the uncomfortable symptoms of the disease condition.
In reality, this actually compounds the problem under the pretense of the illusion of better health.
The Illusion of Better Health
This is not to say that drugs are never needed, indeed some are. However, not exclusive of nutritional supplementation. Without nutrition replacement therapy, how can the body restore itself back to homeostasis?
There are even those who even warn that Vitamin B15 (for example) could “cause” cancer.
Really? Let’s see if this is true.
Strangely, it has been rumored and (of course) repeated ad nauseam on some websites that the DMG found in pangamic acid may cause cancer.
Mind you, the same websites also claim that very little is known about DMG including any health benefits. Somehow though, they always seem to claim the “C” word even when they admit they don’t know anything!
But let’s just see what “they” do know and what “they” don’t know.

Since cancer is the concern here, this will be our focus
Scientists now suspect that a decrease in DNA methylation is associated with cancer, as well as in other disease conditions.
For those of you who are not familiar with methylation, let me briefly explain what it is and its importance on human physiology.
A methyl group (from the word methylation) is basically one carbon atom that is attached to three hydrogen atoms; known in the chemistry world as (-CH3). Now, our bodies are literally full of thousands of biochemical processes, which is a normal function of our health and growth. Many of these processes require what is known as methyl donors in other to complete their processes.
All the B vitamins are dependent upon each other to function correctly.
The same is true for methyl donors in relationship to nutrients, neurotransmitters, hormones, immune function, and enzymes as well as their function regarding DNA and RNA. Without methylation, healing and regeneration of our cells would not be possible. Instead, there is degeneration and a breakdown of physiological systems. Better known as disease.
Recently published in Experimental Biology and Medicine in 2004 is the following:
“DNA methylation plays an essential role in maintaining cellular function, and changes in methylation patterns may contribute to the development of cancer…
…Dietary methyl (folate, choline, and methionine) deficiency in combination causes decreased tissue S-adeno-sylmethionine, global DNA hypomethylation, hepatic steatosis, cirrhosis, and ultimately hepatic tumorigenesis in rodents in the absence of carcinogen treatment.”
DMG or N, N-dimethylglycine (meaning 2 methyl groups) is also a methyl donor needed for methylation and thus, is needed for the protection from disease.
Nonetheless, the FDA’s ban of DMG esters such as pangamic acid is interestingly exactly what is used in trial cancer treatments currently! Never heard of it? Well, given its name, I hardly suspect anyone could readily find it.
It’s called CEP-7055. Catchy, uh?!
A press release in Paris in December of 2001, proudly announced the collaboration between Sonofi-Synthelabo (“US Headquarters for an international pharmaceutical company”) and Cephalon (an international pharmaceutical company known for research and discoveries of cancer treatments) agreement to develop and market angiogenesis inhibitors.
What is angiogenesis?
In simplest terms, it’s the creation of new blood vessels from existing blood vessels. This is a completely normal (and very important) process for growth as well as for wound healing.
However, this process is also to blame for the transition from dormant tumors to malignancy. So basically, angiogenesis contributes to the spread of cancer. For this reason, the process of angiogenesis and consequently angiogenesis inhibitors have become so important to cancer research.
So what of this “agreement”? Well, it goes like this:
“Cephalon and Sanofi-Synthelabo will collaborate on the development and marketing of these angiogenesis inhibitors in the United States, Canada and Mexico, and will share in profits generated from product sales. Sanofi-Synthelabo will acquire exclusive marketing rights to these angiogenesis inhibitors in Europe and the rest of the world; Cephalon retains such rights in Japan.
The agreement includes an upfront license fee, milestone payments and royalties on potential product sales for Cephalon. Total payments for this collaboration have not been disclosed; however, payments to Cephalon for the first drug in development, CEP-7055, could reach $32 million…”
And here’s the punch line…
“…CEP-7055 is a new generation oncology compound that holds promise due to its specificity for inhibiting tumor growth without the widespread toxicity that accompanies traditional chemotherapy,” said Jeffry Vaught, Ph.D., president of research and development at Cephalon.
How about that? Sounds very promising! So just what is this latest “miracle” drug?
Better hold on to your seat!
This illusively named drug (CEP-7055) is a fully synthetic orally active N, N- dimethylglycine ester!
Hey, isn’t pangamic acid the dimethylglycine ester that has been banned by the FDA for all these decades? Claiming that it causes cancer! Oops!
“Significant antitumor efficacy was observed… was well tolerated with no apparent toxicity or significant morbidity. Orally administered CEP-7055 has entered Phase I clinical trials in cancer patients.”
…and wasn’t this the claim of N, N- dimethylglycine ester in the first place; pangamic acid? A safe and effective cure for cancer?
[CEP-7055 was temporarily terminated in 2006 due to a “lack of activity”, but re-emerged in 2011. It is currently being used in clinical trials]
The Real Truth about Pangamic Acid
So okay, let’s recap here: does pangamic acid cause cancer or does it prevent and/or cure it?
Well, let’s imagine if there was no cancer. What would be the implications aside from healthier, more productive people? Is there anyone who would stand to lose with such a “discovery”? Of course, there are! Here’s a small sample of some people who would stand lose if there was a cure for cancer:
- The entire oncology departments and all cancer associations.
- Radiology (CT, MRI scans and X-ray)
- Pharmaceutical companies selling $24,000 per chemo treatment!
- Hospital profits for repeated and long stays of cancer patients.
- Insurance company profits; 200 billion + per year!
- “Search for the Cure” groups.
- Scientists with multi-billion dollar research grants to “discover” the cure.
- …and on and on…
Seeing the picture? Think of the outcry over job loss! Nevermind the loss of life!
Yet, staying true to the medical status quo, the public will be kept in the dark (once again) about an inexpensive, real preventive natural treatment that would cure an illness that plagues millions. Along with keeping the public scared against the use of pangamic acid or DMG.
That is until the day comes, of course, that pangamic acid is prescribed as a cancer treatment (only under a different name) at obscene prices. Which is apparently on its way.
With the introduction of countless chemicals, pollutants (especially oxygen depriving), and most recently the exponential introduction of electromagnetic pollution, the idea of whether a supplement may or may not be prevalent becomes an absurd argument.
When it comes to the debate over whether a substance such as Vitamin B15 (and all its components) should or should not be accepted by the western medical establish (particularly the USA) becomes mute. The real debate should be over the damage that has been done to the human physiology over the recent four to five generations due to exponential chemical exposure.
What effect has that had on our DNA? What are the mutations?
The fact that so many diseases are on the rise despite “modern” medicine pharmaceutical advancements must be the forefront headline for intelligent discussion!
Is science so certain that the biological damage due to environmental poisoning over many decades, couldn’t have created nutritional deficiencies resulting in the increase of cancer?
If DMG is the intermediate by-product of choline and other biochemical processes, what is preventing this intermediate from occurring, thus causing cancer?
You would think the increase of cancer in the USA is an obvious red flag warning us that the current medical model is just not adding up to reality!
