The Nutritional Component

nutritional component of the triad of life

Proper nutrition is an important part of a healthy lifestyle but with all of the countless concepts of “healthy eating” that we are exposed to through the media and on the internet it is no wonder that we are confused as to how to feed our bodies. We are exposed to conflicting information about the health benefits (and dangers) of various foods and nutritional supplements, leaving us wondering what we should be eating (or not eating) and what supplements, if any, we should be taking to protect our health or aid in the healing process.

In addition, because we are a fast-paced society, processed foods have become a staple in the Standard American Diet because they are convenient and inexpensive.

However, this “convenience” has a high price tag attached to it – your health!  Imbalances on the nutritional side can lead to inflammation and many health problems including high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, weight issues, digestive disorders, heartburn, mood swings, sleep issues, pain and low energy levels.

Examples of situations that directly result in an imbalance on this side of The Triad of Life™ are:

  • Fast Food/Processed food diet
  • Smoking
  • Excess consumption of alcohol
  • Pharmaceuticals (prescription and over the counter)
  • Recreational drugs
  • Excess sugar consumption (especially artificial sugar)
  • Extreme diets
  • Over exercise (an example of one that can be present on at least two sides of the Triad)
  • ALL DISEASE STATES

nutritional component of the triad of lifeAt the The Triad of Life™, we believe that by bringing your body back into nutritional balance via a whole food diet and nutritional supplementation as needed, you can significantly improve your health and well being.

The key to balancing this side of the Triad is actually quite obvious – for any diet style there is one thing that must be consistent: fresh, local, whole organic foods.
